Rafi Udin is well-known Malaysian militant. He has been detained in 2003-2006 for his association with the radical Islamist group Jemaah Islamiyah.
Udin appeared alongside Mohammed Karim Yusop Faiz and Mohammad Reza Lahaman Kiram in an IS propaganda video that showed them beheading three prisoners in 2016. As of November 2017, he was believed to be the most senior Malaysian in the IS in Syria.
